Spatial accessibility to healthcare services plays an important role in the population's health, and it can increasingly be examined with the help of geo-mapping through geographic information systems (GIS). It is also an area of interest for health planners and policymakers. Better accessibility of healthcare services and facilities available to everyone is the key to a nation's or region's socioeconomic progress. Also, equitable access to healthcare services enhances human health and well-being and contributes to society's sustainable development. The unequal distribution of healthcare services is the main obstacle to achieving health equity and sustainable development goals. This paper examines the spatial accessibility to public healthcare facilities in Kalaburagi District, Karnataka. This research used the service area analysis for spatial accessibility assessment, population norms, distance criteria, and guidelines based on the Indian Public Health Standard (IPHS,2012), (Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, 2022) to determine the requirements of the healthcare facilities to serve the population. These methods and norms help to demonstrate disparities in the spatial accessibility to healthcare facilities and the distribution of public healthcare services across the study area. Additionally, ArcGIS software is utilized to visually represent the concentration and distribution of healthcare facilities on a map. The findings reveal a disparity in the Spatial accessibility to healthcare services and a shortage of healthcare facilities among the taluks in Kalaburagi District, underscoring the need for a more equitable allocation of resources
