About Us

Any academic institute can be shaped and reshaped through the assistance of its alumni. Alumni can provide precise insights into the professional requirements of the market, industry, and employers. Therefore, they can permeate the gap between the Institute and the potential employment market. Moreover, they can support the Institute regarding the areas where financial and administrative limitations often obstruct the fulfilment of its vision and mission. A professional body of IIPS-trained population graduates, termed IIPS Alumni Association (IIPSAA), was engendered and registered by faculties and the alumni of the Institute under the Society Registration Act 21, 1860 (Regd. No. 2893/2011/GBBSD) and the Charity Commission Act 1950 (Regd. No. F49222-Mumbai). The IIPS alumni hold distinguished positions in several organisations such as Child Fund, Indian Institute of Health Management Research, International Centre for Research on Women, Population Council, Population Service International, Public Health Foundation of India, Tata Institute of Social Sciences, United Nations Population Fund, United Nations Children’s Fund, World Health Organization, and National Council of Applied Economic Research. In addition, several of IIPS alumni are recruited in different national and international universities and colleges. IIPSAA vigorously organises several activities, including lectures, workshops, and debates for students, encouraging them to connect with eminent personalities who are experienced professionals in various fields related to population sciences.
